About Amanda

Hello, my name is Amanda and I believe my four years of elementary classroom experiences meet the criteria you are seeking. I have taught third grade for three years in all subject areas, but once I moved to Katy I focused on second grade literacy with all its major components. During my classroom experience, I have encountered working with students of various backgrounds, taught with rigorous curriculum, and wide ranging teaching strategies. During my summers I have continued working and caring for children as a camp counselor with the program Camp Adventure. These experiences abroad have taken me across the globe to military bases to work with children from 5-12 years old implementing their day camp programs. On another note, I worked for Apples of Gold, a tutoring facility with curriculum specifically aimed to support children with dyslexia.
