I started working with animals when I was very young. My family started fostering dogs when I was in 4th grade- I was the main caretaker for the foster since I wanted to do it. I was paid to dog sit for the first time when I was 19, and have done it on and off since then but worked at a rescue for 10 months when I was 25-26. I have a background in wildlife biology and was an animal caretaker for a total of 3 years with a variety of wildlife. In my spare time, I like to listen to music, go to concerts, sew and do DIY/up-cycling projects, thrift, hike, and explore nature! One thing you should know about me is I love dogs of all breeds and sizes. I will show them so much love but will give space if they prefer that and aren't a huge fan of physical affection. I'm a huge "bully breed" advocate and my "soul dog" was a special needs pit mix who I had the joy of having for 6 months before she passed.

Amanda did an excellent job taking care of our dog Bear when we were out of town. He has anxiety and can be difficult to deal with, but we felt very comfortable leaving him in Amanda’s care. He loved her! She is a responsible and personable caregiver!
