We feel very lucky to have found Amanda! She is not only experienced but also has an invaluable intuition that I found so reassuring as a first time mom seeking help with my 4 month old. Amanda accurately interpreted my baby’s cues - something I didn’t feel anyone else (family included) totally understood. I observed her many times correctly identify that he was hungry, tired, teething, etc. and act immediately to comfort him. Her skill gives me peace of mind leaving my little one in her care. On the experience side, she often guides our family with helpful purchase suggestions appropriate for baby’s development, for example frozen chew toys that helped his teething. She is truly sweet, patient, and exudes a lovely calm presence.

Amanda is out of this world outstanding. We hired her when we were visiting NYC and needed care for our 6-year-old for the afternoon. To say my daughter had a blast seeing more and learning more in the City is an understatement. She came back with joy, excitement, and having seen areas we never knew existed - and they were all in her interest area.

We visit NYC a few times yearly, and 100% would engage Amanda again!

Amanda is a wonderful caregiver, and I am very happy to recommend her! We have hired her multiple times to help look after our 7mo old son. On every occasion I have found Amanda to be super reliable, punctual, kind, caring, a great communicator - and clearly very experienced with kids. Our son was just entering separation anxiety stage when we first worked with Amanda, but she was so patient and just took everything in stride... our kiddo is totally happy to be with her now. Something I especially appreciate about Amanda is her calm, relaxed energy. We have two young kids so things can get a little boisterous, but Amanda is always a beacon of calm in our chaos :)

Let me first start off by saying Amanda is amazing! I initially was searching for someone to watch our son as we were planning a family birthday dinner, however, the first time we were trying to plan the outing fell through, so we didn't end up getting to work with Amanda that time, but she was so understanding and leading up to that event she went above and beyond for us to chat on the phone and to help comfort me as this would be the first time we were leaving our son with someone other than family. At that time we weren't able to set-up a time for her to get acquainted with our son, but the next time we reached out to her, she was able to arrange coming on the earlier side so that my son had time to meet her and play with her before we left. Amanda is super responsive and communicative, and she is flexible, definitely going off of the vibe of the parents/family and their wants/needs. The things that drew me to Amanda's profile to start were her abundance of 5 star reviews, and also her evident love for Disney as seen in her pictures, which is a love our family shares as well. Our son is super comfortable with her and she makes him feel at ease, to the point where he feels safe enough to say goodbye to us when we leave with no tears. I can't say enough good things about Amanda and the care she provides. We still work with Amanda to this day!

So great! We were visiting my sister in Brooklyn with my 2 and 4 year old and staying at a hotel (1 bedroom, 2 beds, small Brooklyn style hotel!) but we really wanted to go out for dinner one night without the kids to catch up more. Amanda expertly handled the kids’ bedtimes in a new weird place and rolled with the punches!  She also obviously has a ton of experience with toddlers because she asked all of the right questions before we left to make sure the transition went smoothly when we left and for bedtime.  I always get nervous leaving my young kids w a new sitter in a big city like Brooklyn, but I will hire Amanda again in a heart beat and I will be reaching out again next time we visit my sister.  Highly recommend!!

Amanda was great! Communicative, kind, engaging and really just put us at ease about leaving for the evening. She took in everything i told her quickly and was prompt with any texts. I really appreciate her help.

Amanda watched our 1 year old while were in town on vacation. She was easy to coordinate with prior to our arriving and showed up punctually. She was very professional and took terrific care of our son. She kept us updated via text while we were out which we very much appreciated. We would definitely hire Amanda again and we would recommend her.

After numerous texts to confirm time/date to watch my daughter, she cancelled on Sept 19, 2022,  a day prior to come to my place because she got Covid.  Now I have to find another caregiver very last minute, or have to take a day off to watch my baby at home.  I wish she were more careful with her health especially if she is working in this field as a babysitter/nanny.  Or it sounds very convenient for me to cancel a day before with a Covid excuse.  Anyways, I have a very bad impression about her even before I start working with her.

Amanda is reliable, a good communicator, caring and a problem solver. She's loving and caring. We have used her several times for our 8 month baby girl and are very pleased.

Amanda watched our kiddos in a hotel room in New York City! She was amazing and Was great with our kids. She took them to Central Park. We would absolutely hire her again.

We have worked with Amanda for a little over two months now, and she has been terrific. She cares for our two children, ages 5 and 7. Amanda stepped in when our long-term nanny had to leave suddenly due to a family emergency. She has managed school and summer camp pick-up, and she is very punctual and reliable. She takes the kids on fun adventures to local parks, playgrounds, and libraries, and she helps with their homework, meal preparation, and laundry. 

Amanda is the type of person who seeks out things that need to be done; she never sits idly by. She is confident and rarely needs direction, though she accepts it easily. While not as important as her care of our children, Amanda happens to be an organizing wizard. In no time at all, she tidies all the kids' toys and crafts, always leaving our home looking neater than when she arrived. 

We've been grateful to have Amanda and give her our fullest recommendation.
