My name is Amanda I am 38 years old and I have worked with children ranging from ages 3 months - 13 years in both professional settings (daycare center) and in home for over 15 years. Duties have included but are not limited to: Changing, nap time routines, homework help, educational/imaginary play and limited household chores. I have been with my current family for 4 years ( current ages 6, 10,) and unfortunately with the youngest starting kindergarten and a full day schedule, it is time for me to move on. I pride myself on my ability to relate to both children and adults and believe that playtime can be both educational and fun. My philosophy is that parents set the tone and I adhere to it. As someone who grew up in the suburbs, I try to encourage as much outdoor play as possible. I also love visiting playgrounds, museums science centers and anything hands on with the children I work with.

Amanda has been a wonderful caregiver for our three children for more than four years and has become a cherished part of our family. The kids can never give her enough hugs when she arrives or leaves. We feel completely confident and comfortable when they are in Amanda's care. Amanda is on time, never sick, flexible, responsible, upbeat, positive, adaptable, and deeply caring and compassionate. Our youngest is starting kindergarten, so we don't have enough hours to offer to ask Amanda to stay solely with us. But we will definitely seek to have Amanda keep taking care of the children as much as she has time for and as often as she is available. E.g., Amanda has allowed us to do many "date nights" and we hope to do many more with Amanda taking care of the kids and putting them to bed. I'm happy to speak to any prospective employers.
