About Amanda

I have loved working with children all my life. I started babysitting as a teenager and later worked in preschools and afterschool care. As a mom of four (and caregiver to many over the years), I have been involved in various activities, programs, and hobbies for a range of ages. I homeschooled my children throughout their childhood and taught homeschool classes at the elementary level and later tutored high school math and English. Working with children is a very rewarding experience. Their honesty, curiosity, and fresh perspectives provide valuable insights and remind me of life's simple pleasures. I am passionate about providing nurturing, loving care for children in order to help them grow and learn. I'm also very organized and I strive to create a clean, safe environment for them. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, swimming, and hiking. These activities help enrich my life and contribute to my creative and attentive approach to caregiving.
