About Amanda
After a 15-year career in healthcare working as a registered dietitian, I paused my professional work to focus on caring for my children at home. With my youngest child off to kindergarten, I looked at re-entering the workforce in my previous role, but found that the atmosphere diminished my favorite aspect of being a healthcare provider, and that was the direct care and interaction with individuals and families. The bulk of my professional experience has involved working with senior individuals and I feel each of them deserves as much time and attention required to meet their needs. A formal healthcare setting makes that impossible and has always bothered me. At this time I feel I'd best utilize my skills by providing care and support in a home environment.
