About Amanda

Amanda has cared for my daughter since she was about 6 months old bringing a hard to find blend of professionalism, thoughtfulness, and warmth. What makes Amanda exceptional, among other things, is her discernment & sound judgement. In childcare there are some things you can plan for—like nap times, meals, or activities—and (many) others you simply can’t anticipate. Time and time again, Amanda has shown remarkable judgment in those unplanned moments. Whether it’s sensing when my daughter needs comfort before she can even express it, adapting plans on the fly when the unexpected happens, or making quick decisions that balance safety with fun, Amanda demonstrates a natural ability to get it right. That kind of sound judgment cannot be taught; it’s an intuitive gift that we’re grateful to be the beneficiaries of. At the same time, Amanda brings a playful, engaging energy that makes her time with my daughter joyful and enriching. She is present and attentive, finding creative ways to spark laughter, learning, and connection. My daughter adores her, and I know she feels both safe and delighted in Amanda’s care. The moment Amanda arrives in our home my daughter asks me to “please go away…” so she can have Amanda all to herself. Equally important, Amanda is highly professional—punctual, reliable, and communicative. She treats her role with the seriousness it deserves, while infusing every interaction with warmth and positivity. She has become my absolute go-to, particularly for overnights where her steadfastness and calm presence give me complete peace of mind. I recommend Amanda wholeheartedly. She is thoughtful, dependable, playful, and again, above all, guided by the most sound instincts and judgment that give me complete confidence whenever my daughter is with her.
