My son is 10 and was diagnosed with high functioning autism and has adhd with severe sensory disorder. He cannot touch certain textures, feel certain fabrics, eat mushy or foreign feeling food, smell certain smells without gagging, and hear loud noises that trigger him to cover his ears. I am so used to the cues to look out for and the ways of helping them through it. I would love to be of any assistance to whomever I can I know it can be very hard and overwhelming at times but with the right help and care we can all make it work well.
