I've worked in 2 different group homes with both adults and children with special needs, including Parkinsons, Down syndrome, physical and developmental disabilities, both verbal and nonverbal clients ranging from assisted care to full care. I was the service planner for an amazing guy who was diagnosed with colon cancer while in my care and assisted him and hospice with end of life care. I've used both mobile and suspended Hoyer lifts, wheelchair van lifts, and pool lifts, too. I have experience in giving medications, bathing, toilet routines, feeding, meal planning, and Dr visits. I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to live their best life. I believe that 1 person can make a difference and have a huge impact on someone's life just but helping even just a little. I'm a people person and love helping and making my people happy.
