About Amanda

Hello! I am a school social worker at an elementary school in Portland with 10+ years of childcare experience. I have watched infants to now teenagers, and have had the pleasure of staying with some families for over 7 years. I love helping kids engage with the world by bringing them on outings, encouraging active and engaging play, and a sense of awe. I especially love doing crafts, baking, taking walks, and imaginative play. I prioritize safety and will follow your comfort level with what types of activities you want your child to join. I am off this summer, getting married late August, so I am mostly flexible with my availability. I can't wait to meet you!
