About Amanda

I have worked as an educator for the past 20 years, specializing in teaching English, Creative Writing, and Public Speaking to students in grades 9-12. Additionally, I have taught Literature and Composition at the college level. Before my teaching career, I gained valuable experience as an Editor at a major publishing company. I believe that each student has a unique story to tell. All of my work begins there. My strengths lie in guiding students in crafting essays that showcase their unique voice and style, developed over time through storytelling exercises. I am also skilled in assisting students with Capstone presentations, commencement speeches, and enhancing public speaking skills by emphasizing authenticity and finding voice. I am well-versed in the new SAT digital format and can effectively teach the necessary skills for the Reading and Writing sections. I prioritize tailoring instruction to meet individual needs.
