I met Amanda through Care.com in 2024 when I was looking for someone to help with my mom who was recently diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s and dementia symptoms. Amanda was punctual, responsible and understanding. While working with my mom, Amanda was responsible for meal preparation, assistance in toileting, recreational trips in the car and managing my mom’s symptoms and behaviors. Amanda performed all of these tasks with the exemplary dedication and with my mom‘s autonomy in mind. Amanda was a critical support as we transitioned my mom into memory care and she now works with my mom as a companion care provider in memory care.
