About Amanda

Amanda was a nanny for us for three years taking care of our five children and the house. We can't imagine having survived these three years without her! Amanda joined us when our youngest was three months old. She is wonderful taking care of infants as well as older kids (including, among other things, taking them to activities, hosting and driving/to from playdates, helping them with homework and taking care of them when they’re sick). She was also responsible for all of the kids' laundry, keeping the kids' bedroom and area tidy, and preparing dinner. When the kids were asleep or occupied, Amanda also helped with a variety of errands and other miscellaneous projects around the house (e.g., various organization projects, setting up seasonal decorations and putting them away, preparing bedding for out of town guests) and outside the house (e.g., going to post office, drycleaning, stores). She is also fantastic with pets and loves animals and they love her back! Amanda is incredibly loving to the kids and developed a wonderful relationship with them. She was playful and incredibly loving, but also was willing to be stern when they were out of line or misbehaving, which we really appreciated. Amanda is someone who always stays calm no matter how chaotic the environment. She is also very flexible and willing to adapt if things change last minute. Over the course of three years and became a member of our family and we were so sorry that she moved away!
