About Amanda

Hello! I have been teaching and caring for kids ages 18 mos-16 years for more than 25 years and have several years of experience with infants and young toddlers. I have two kids of my own who are school age, and have experience with pets as well. I have taught academics, social emotional skills, reading, music, dance, cooking, yoga, cooking, sports, fitness and art. I am CPR/IED/EpiPen certified and very safety conscious. I've cleared multiple background checks the past four years and can take another if needed. My style is nurturing and firm, structured but appropriately flexible. I'm a strong believer in play based learning, reading and singing daily. Mary Poppins is my role model! I make record keeping and parent/family communication a priority, to ensure trust and accountability are established and maintained. I provide a brief summary of each child's day/week and send photo/video updates during the day.
