I have more than 20 yrs experience working as a child care provider and family assistant. I received my Bachelors of Arts degree in Cultural Anthropology from UCSC. I'm First Aid and CPR trained and keep up with all needed vaccinations. I'm patient, kind, down-to-earth, a good communicator and genuinely enjoy connecting with children of all ages. Amanda cared for our 16 month old daughter immediately after we relocated back to Marin. We hired her before meeting in person due to needing help as soon as we moved. It wasn't something we had done before, but Amanda stood out from the rest with her joyful, kind presence, how she spoke about her childcare methodology, and her glowing references from past families. She was even more amazing than we expected! Amanda came into our home every day with such a warm, welcoming presence. She lifts everyone's spirits and our daughter was always so excited to see her. Amanda is incredibly caring, conscientious of safety at all times, and incredible with transitions for a little toddler. She made shifting through daily activities fun and easy for our daughter from the moment she walked through the door. I learned so much from witnessing her techniques and putting them to practice myself. She absorbs the rhythms of the family and is comfortable with changes to routines and dynamics as they arise. Growing up in Marin, she has a wealth of knowledge for kid-friendly activities and parks as well. She was comfortable caring for our daughter at home yet her special power is in helping your little one explore nature, community and culture. We highly recommend her for any future families.
