About Amanda

Early experience includes babysitting all through high school, kids ages ranged from 3-10, and teaching Tae Kwon Do for about 8 years. I taught all ages but the age I taught the most were 3-5-year-olds. After finishing college I got a job at Kidspeace, which is a school for developmentally disabled and behaviorally disabled children. While at the school I worked with kids in kindergarten all the way through 12th grade. I was there for about 2 years. I have since continued in a similar field working for two companies: I worked almost four years at a company called Downeast Horizons in Ellsworth, ME. While there I worked mainly with kids diagnosed with autism, ages ranging from 5-16. I then decided to relocate to Southern Maine and now work for a company called Woodford's Family Services doing the same kind of work only I am back in a school now. Outside of my professional experience I also have two nephews aged 6 and almost 2 whom I have enjoyed taking care of and spending time with.
