About Amanda

I have several years of experience caring for my 84-year-old grandmother, that has Alzheimer's/dementia. I was living with her for about 5-6 years, until she recently moved into my mother's home. I helped her with daily routines including laundry, preparation of all meals, shopping and miscellaneous errands, light housework, driving her to doctor and hair appointments and general companionship. She got a lot worse towards the end of me caring for her and I would help remind her of where she was and simple daily tasks such as getting dressed. I truly enjoy helping older people, and I am very patient, kind, creative with meals for seniors, organized and tidy.
