About Amanda

Hi, all! I have 10+ years experience working with children in both a nanny capacity and in a school environment. I've worked in private homes (nanny) as well as public and private schools (afternoon preschool teacher/kindergarten readiness, special needs aid, teacher's aid, and instructional aid). I'm comfortable with kids of all ages, having worked with newborns to teens. I'm educated in human services, which focuses on family dynamics, human development, psychology, etc. as well as internships where I've worked hands on with children and teens in various settings. I believe children learn and grow best in a loving environment that gives them room to explore their passions. I love reading, music, crafts, etc, and giving children a chance to discover their own interests through play and adventure.
