Prior to that I worked in nursing homes and also did in home care for the elderly and/or people that were having difficulty doing things on their own. I have been a weekly live in several times. I have been on call when families just need a break or have their own errands to run or possibly go on vacation. I have done everything from helping get out of bed, bath/shower, meal prep for solid and liquid foods, changed beds, diapers, given intramuscular injections and more. I always felt like I was helpful in making sure the patient always kept as much dignity as possible.
