About Amanda

Graduate of UC Davis with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology Biology, with emphases in Child Development and Clinical Psychology. I have 4+ years experience being a private teacher for grades PreK - 8th for several families in the LA area. I also have 10 years of experience in childcare. My teaching style includes integrated project-based learning, compassionate communication, personal responsibility, learn by play, creativity, critical thinking, and problem solving. I advocate for each student's specific learning and attention styles and curate curriculum to fit their unique needs. I design and implement a fun and interactive curriculum in accordance with CA Common CORE standards, focusing on English, math, science, and social studies. I strive to support students' social and emotional learning in their self management, emotional regulation, social awareness, and informed decision making. I love working with kids and I enjoy being flexible and fun, as the show must go on!
