My career in dementia and geriatric care began in 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic brought me home from college and unexpectedly led me to an interview for a home health aide position with Visiting Angels. After accepting the role, I quickly discovered a genuine passion for supporting older adults and individuals living with dementia. I remained with Visiting Angels for three years, gaining valuable hands-on experience and forming meaningful relationships with the individuals and families I served. Today, I am the Memory Care Director at a personal care community, where I am dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for residents. I am a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) and hold my DP-NC certification through the National Institute for Dementia Education.
