About Ama

Hello! I'm a high school English teacher with a deep passion for supporting kids of all ages. My background spans the entire spectrum of childhood development--from working as a trusted Care. com babysitter and tutor to leading summer childcare programs. Whether your child is in elementary, middle, or high school, I have the experience to help them thrive. My versatile background includes teaching 6th grade social studies, 9th/11th-grade English, and AP English Language and Composition. Additionally, I spent three summers during college tutoring elementary school students. This deep academic familiarity allows me to easily adapt to your child's unique needs, blending structured discipline with warm, outgoing compassion so they feel both safe and motivated. When I'm not teaching, I love coaching volleyball, staying active at the gym, and playing trivia. I look forward to bringing a structured, supportive, and joyful energy to your family!
