I have loved being around children my whole life. Whenever a new cousin was brought into this world, I was right there to help. At age 13 I started watching three boys regularly; ages 4, 7, and 9. I made lunch and sometimes dinner, and helped with homework. Throughout high school, I babysat for various families with children of all ages. During my college career, I babysat and nannied, which helped me gain a lot of experience with newborns, infants, and toddlers; sometimes all at once. I nannied 2 1/2 years full-time with a wonderful family with two children. I started when the little girl was just 3 months, and the little boy was 20 months. They started preschool and nursery, and my child care journey took me to NYC. There I spent 3 1/2 years working with two boys. I started when they were 5 months and 5 years old. Then the pandemic started, and moved back to the Midwest with my family.
Ideally, I am looking for one-time sitter jobs that could become a family's main sitter.

She was like a second mother to our children when she nannied for us.  She’s now like a part of the family.  Couldn’t ask for a better caregiver!

We originally hired Amalia as our in-home caregiver for our son several years ago, and we absolutely loved the time she spent with our us. She was incredibly caring and responsive to both our family needs and our son's individual needs. Her cheerful, loving, and outgoing personality made her a perfect fit for our family.
While she is no longer our nanny since our son is older, Amalia is always our first call for babysitting needs as they arise. 
We are forever thankful that we found Amalia when we needed her most and will always send our highest recommendations to any prospective family in need of caregiver services.

We hired Amalia to sit for our 8mo old son at our hotel during a trip to NYC last month so that we could take our daughter to see Cats.  

She arrived early, jumped right in and was easy to communicate with throughout the hiring and sitting.  We found her personable, warm, affectionate, caring and skilled in her care of our son and she followed all of our instructions. 

We didn't feel like we were leaving our son with a stranger which made the time away, all be it only for about 5hrs, easier to enjoy.  We would absolutely hire her again the next time we're visiting the city and have a need for a sitter.  

Amalia was a great babysitter for my two boys!  We were always very happy with her.  She was dependable and our kids enjoyed having her watch them.

Relaxed, happy, and competent with our 2 yr old and newborn. Not only were the kids doing well after her 11 hour shift, the playroom was picked up and the dishwasher was unloaded too! My toddler kept talking about her all night after she left.

Amalia looked after my 18 month old daughter when I started working and couldn't get her is daycare right away. Amalia did a great job and my daughter was always happy to see her. Amalia also did a great job with our 2 large dogs.

Amalia is great with my daughter, despite my daughter's little attitude, HAHA.  She is flexible and dependable. I feel very comfortable having Amalia at my house and know that my daughter is in good hands! She provides an honest synopsis of what they did and what happened and how she handled tantrums, etc. I have had Amalia babysit a handful of times and hope that I can keep her as a sitter for a long time! Definitely recommend Amalia (and I have referred her to a friend).

Amalia watched my daughter and did a great job. We would call her again if we need a sitter again.

Anybody that comes over to work at someone else's house at 7am on a Saturday is ok in my book. We had her babysit last summer so my husband and I could run a 5k together. She was great! I would definitely have her babysit again.

Amalia is fantastic with children. She has a knack for encouraging play, creativity, and expression while still providing boundaries and structure. We've known her since 2008, when our first child was still an infant, and she babysat for us throughout her college years.  By the end of that, she was babysitting a 3 year old, 1.5 year old, and a 1 month old. She worked weekly 1.5-3 hour shifts including naps and lunch times, 4-5 hours in the evening overseeing dinner and bedtime, and at least one 6-7 hour day that I can recall. She had to deal with the eldest potty training and the middle child having some atrocious tantrums, and obviously balancing her attention between the two older ones and the young infant. Regardless, she always seemed composed when we came home, was willing to babysit again, and the kids were always excited to see her--so much so that they thought anyone who looked remotely like her must be Amalia coming to play with them! We've had quite a few sitters, but she is definitely one of our all-time favorites.
