About Alyssa

Hello my name is Alyssa! I searched for a long time for a job I enjoyed and found my passion in teaching and caring for children. During the school year I'm an assistant teacher and during the summer I babysit and nanny. I teach ages 3-5 currently but have experience working and caring for children ages infant to 12. I am CPR and first aid certified, have my food handlers permit, and have experience working with children with high behavioral needs. I am also working to get my associates in child development. I know some sign language and also have experience with working with nonverbal children. In my free time I like to read and do art as well as get outside and do all sorts of activities. Some of my favorite activities I like to do while working with children are; all sorts of arts and crafts, reading, playing outside with chalk and imagination play, and doing music and movement activities.
