About Alyssa

Hi Families, my name is Aly and it is my personal belief that children learn and grow through play, social interactions, and everyday experiences. I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and a mother of two with experience in early intervention and social skills development. I am looking to add a family's children to my everyday adventures and activities with my two children (5-year-old boy and 2. 5-year-old girl) to facilitate social, emotional, and cognitive development through natural experiences this summer (with possibility to extend longer term). I parent and provide care from a positive behavior approach with the belief that challenging behaviors are a form of communication and an opportunity for learning. I utilize my knowledge of evidence-based strategies when teaching and parenting to provide my children and the children I interact with opportunities for growth and development with age-appropriate expectations.
