About Alyssa

A fun loving and patient professional looking to pick up some extra jobs outside of work. I've nannied, babysat, taught, and tutored for over 11 years and believe in finding fun everywhere! I grew up on arts and crafts, nature walks, kid-friendly cooking, and building obstacle courses in my front yard, and I want to bring that to your family too. I don't believe in talking down to children or baby-talking them; kids are fully capable human beings and benefit from being treated as such! Children blossom when they're able to feel grown, capable, and creative and I give kids the space to do that, while still keeping to family rules and respecting leadership and authority. I'm looking to pick up some extra work while I pay off an unexpected surgery my dog needed, but have full time employment at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences.
