About Alyssa

I am getting my Master's of Arts in Counseling from UMKC and have my BA in Psychology and Spanish. I am focusing on early education and adolescent development in my education. I have worked with early education for 5+ years in all different types of settings: nannying, babysitting, early education, youth soccer coaching, and trauma settings. I am passionate about appropriate developmental activities and learning for children and am trained in Conscious Discipline, a trauma-informed approach to care. I value your child's safety and wellbeing and want to provide the best care that I can provide. I'd describe my personality as adaptable, hardworking, and empathetic. I like working with kids because I am passionate about helping in their development and learning. I also love letting a kid be a kid. In my spare time, I like to read and go to the movies. My skills include attentiveness, communication, and compassion.
