About Alyssa

Hi I'm Alyssa and I'd describe my personality as Compassionate, Caring, Patient and Playful. I started working with kids when I was in high school as a baby sitter. I also volunteered in the NICU at my local hospital in college for an internship. I previously was a character performer at Disney World. My most recent work experience is with teenagers at a residential treatment center. In my spare time, I like to go hiking, attend concerts, and exercise. One thing you should know about me is I come from a background in mental healthcare and have experience working with adolescent children who have mental health challenges. I am currently in grad school to become a licensed clinician. I have been trained in crisis survival skills, distress tolerance skills, and emotional regulation skills. I've been nannying while in grad school and I am comfortable with all ages and pets in the home!
