Hi, my name is Alyssa! I have over six years of experience working with children and have been nannying for the same family for the past three years. As the children are now starting school, I'm looking for a new family to support. I also have experience as a behavior technician working with children with autism through play, structure, and individualized care. As the oldest of six siblings, caring for children has always been a huge part of my life. I strongly believe in play-based learning and love creating fun, supportive, and engaging environments for children to grow and learn. I recently earned my Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education and have one semester left until I complete my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Studies at Cal Poly Pomona. Alyssa has been an absolute blessing to our family over the past two years. She has cared for both of our children — our son P. (9, who has severe autism) and our daughter E. (7) — with so much love, patience, and understanding. P. has very unique needs, and Alyssa has always gone above and beyond to support him, meeting him exactly where he is with compassion and care. She formed a bond with him that very few people are able to, which says everything about her heart and her skills. With E., Alyssa has been equally amazing — engaging her in activities, helping with routines, and making her feel safe and loved. Alyssa is dependable, kind, responsible, and truly gifted when it comes to working with children. We trust her completely, and she has truly become like family to us.
