About Alyssa

Hi! My name is Alyssa, and I have a passion for helping children learn & grow. I have several years of experience working with children (0-6yr) in a childcare setting. I love organizing fun activities that encourage creativity, learning, and confidence for the children in my care. Whether we're exploring art or sensory, reading, or going on adventures - I enjoy finding ways to make everyday moments both exciting and a learning opportunity. Outside of work, I am currently enrolled as a Clinical Mental Health Master's student at KSU. I hope to work as a children's therapist in the future with some of my specific interests including attachment theory, childhood anxiety disorders, and family systems theory. My education has strengthened my understanding of child development and emotional well-being. I will be taking on an internship at Akron Children's Hospital this upcoming fall which shapes my weekly availability. I'd love the opportunity to get to know your family! :)
