About Alyssa

As a pediatric registered nurse, I have made caring for children a fundamental part of my life. Currently, I am working full time as an Early Childhood Health Specialist on weekdays, & a Pediatric Nurse on the Peds and NICU floors on weekends! I have experience as a full spectrum doula and a newborn care specialist. I'm also an internationally board certified lactation consultant! I love what I do, but I miss getting to care for children 1:1 and build long lasting relationships. I worked as an infant & toddler teacher for 4 years, and then I was a nanny for a little boy while in nursing school. I cared for him throughout infancy and toddlerhood, and it was so hard to leave when I had to move away! I love to encourage early education opportunities, so I like to start introducing basic sign language to help infants and toddlers express their needs early on. I also utilize Conscious Discipline practices to foster secure attachments & emotional regulation!
