About Alyssa

Hello! I'm a passionate part time beginner science and math tutor with a background in elementary and science education. I received minors in biology and special education from SCSU. I love helping students build confidence and curiosity in learning, especially when it comes to understanding how the world works through science and problem-solving in math. I worked for 6+ years as a daycare assistant teacher at a local center. I now am currently employed at a local microbiology biotech company, where I apply my science and math knowledge in real-world research and lab settings. This hands-on experience allows me to bring practical examples to the world of school-based questions. Whether your student needs support in mastering math fundamentals, exploring life sciences, or strengthening study skills, I tailor my approach to each learner's needs and learning style. My goal is to develop a passion for learning and build useful real-life skills to science and math.
