My experience caring for children ranges from small babysitting jobs locally to working with disadvantaged, orphaned children in Tanzania and South Africa. I am a returned Peace Corps volunteer where my primary job was working with primary school children teaching literacy programs throughout the community. I have been an on and off babysitter for my neighbors' children for 10 years from birth until preteen. I have experience working in a children's homeless shelter where I was involved in group counseling, emotional support and recreational activities. I am currently a 4th grade teacher in SW Denver. I love being outdoors and have a lot of energy. I'm currently a full time teacher and part time graduate student. I have become very resourceful and can make anything out of anything; so craft time will be very interesting!
