Alyson cared for my father after his brain cancer diagnoses, from post-surgical care to at-home hospice. She exemplified the characteristics you'd want in a caregiver for your loved one. From a practical perspective, she was reliable, flexible, patient, committed to safety, and an excellent communicator. These qualities alone make her more than qualified. Beyond the core responsibilities of the job, Alyson was a compassionate and thoughtful person. She often came in with activities for my dad that she researched the night before. She (softly) recommended best practices for my father's care as his disease progressed. When my father ended up at a hospice facility at the end of his life, Alyson made the (very long) drive to bring gifts and provide support. Our family will always hold a special place in our hearts for Alyson.
