Hey there, my name is Alvaro! I am a recent graduate (Biology), am trilingual, am pre-med (pediatrics interest), can drive (my parents are driving instructors so I'm quite good), and am Provider-level CPR certified! I started tutoring in high school as part of the AIME (Anaheim Innovative Mentoring Experience) program, wherein I tutored students in high school math and science. I have since continued tutoring within my own network, for family and friends of family alike. I like tutoring because as a child of a single and low income mother, I saw early on the importance of having a team of support to pursue academic excellence. I view tutoring as my way to pay it forward, opening doors for students to achieve excellence in their own unique ways. My little nephew (4 y/o) is my world, I frequently care for him and he is a dual immersion student. I spend much of my time speaking in Spanish with him and teaching him both English and Spanish.
