About Alvaro

I'm a Spanish-born engineer and MBA student with a passion for making math and science click for students of all ages. I graduated with a 3. 81 GPA in Industrial Engineering and spent three years working as a construction engineer before returning to school, so I don't just teach math and engineering concepts, I've actually applied them in the real world. I'm a native Spanish speaker, which means I can tutor Spanish as a first language, not just as a subject I studied. Whether your child needs help building conversational confidence or mastering grammar, I bring an authentic cultural perspective to every session. I have hands-on experience working with kids of all ages as a soccer coach at camps and training programs throughout my undergrad years. I know how to keep young learners engaged, motivated, and having fun, even with challenging material. I also have experience as a peer tutor at the college level, so I'm comfortable adapting my approach to different learning styles and paces.
