Hello, my name is Alma. I have been a caregiver for the elderly for about 14 years now. In addition to providing companionship, my previous job description consisted of monitoring medications, preparing meals, light housekeeping, bathing, grooming, dressing, outings, doctor visits, and much more. I have experience with handicapped seniors, dementia patients, and hospice patients as well. I have experience with bed-ridden patients, wheelchair bound, and patients who require a walker. I also have experience using the Hoyer lift and transferring the patient, wherever needed. Caring for an elderly couple helped me realize that caring for seniors is my passion. It provides me with an opportunity to give back, to provide comfort and to add to someone's quality of life, for those who need a little extra help to live their lives in the comfort of their own homes.
