About Allison

Experience: 7 yrs

Hello, I'm Allison! I have hospital experience with post-op /acute/ ICU care and hospice experience. Additionally, I'm experienced in providing basic daily assistance needs including bathing, dressing, communication, signing, memory care, exercise regimens, precautions, medication management, etc. I also have a master's degree in the health care field & constantly stay fresh on continuing education. I'm detail oriented with plenty of experience in senior care, where my experience began as a child going to nursing homes with my mom who was a RN. I'm all about safety while enabling people to do as much as they can independently. Feel free to send me a message! Thanks! *Most clients/patients prefer to schedule appointments on alternative days, as I will not be driving your loved one to appointments, etc. I apologize for any inconvenience.

What a joy and blessing to find Allison. We really "struck gold" when we interviewed and hired her on the spot on Sep 3rd. Her education and experiences from childhood on gave her the knowledge and tools required for a stellar caregiver in our home health type setting. J (who has many debilitating medical issues), needed nearly full time post-operative day care after major surgery on September 7th. Allison's skills and background were exactly the kind of caregiver we were seeking and her desire to move from hospital and corporate to private care fit perfectly with our needs. She is punctual, flexible, and easy to work with for our challenging schedule. We see her background and skills as an asset. She is thorough, observant, gentle, encouraging, and involves the whole family in learning better care practices unobtrusively. As recovery progressed, she challenged J to do more which fostered independence and helped with self-confidence. In November we moved to Part time care.
