About Allison

Hello! I am an elementary school counselor (Pre-K to 4th grade) looking for a seasonal summer childcare role while CPS is on summer break. Lifelong Experience: I've been working with kids since my pre-teen babysitting days (yes, I was the kid with the hyper-organized babysitter binder!). I also have two years of substitute teaching experience. Child Development Background: My career as a school counselor means I excel at attentiveness, patience, supporting emotional regulation, and finding resourceful, creative ways to engage kids. Parent Perspective: As a mom to a 10 and 12-year-old, I understand the rhythms of family life and the importance of safety, trust and attentive caregivers. In my free time, I love enjoying time outdoors with my family, finding new coffee shops and supporting local small businesses.
