About Allison

I have experience working with seniors in several aspects. I started off at an early age. My mother used to go to nursing homes and sing and I would join in with her and her group. Sometimes, I would just sit and listen to their amazing stories. As I got older, I wanted to help out more so I worked for a company in Connecticut where I would go to seniors homes and help out. Whether it was preparing their meals, offer companionship, do errands, house cleaning or personal hygiene. I also have experience with young adults who have disabilities such as Chrone's Disease and Cerebral Palsy, so I am capable in handling seniors with disabilities. I have a Culinary degree as well, so for many years I was a chef or a restaurant manager at Assistant Living Communities. I love working with seniors because they always manage to bring a smile to my face and can give you an outlook on life that you never thought of before. They are wise and experienced.
