About Allison

I'd describe my personality as compassionate, fun loving, and a bit quirky at times. I started working with kids regularly four years ago in a summer camp setting. I have worked in that role since then and have loved every day of it. Prior to that, I worked with kids in occasional volunteer settings. In my spare time, I like to drawn, paint, write, sing, bake, and cook. I also enjoy practicing archery and sailing, two sports which I have been involved in for many years. I enjoy reading books or playing a relaxing game on the computer on occasion, though it's not my first choice. I like working with kids because I love teaching them new skills and helping them develop the ones they already have. I like working with the things they are already interested in and using those to help them learn new skills and information. I love the fast paced work and enjoy finding creative solutions to any challenges thrown at me.
