About Allison

I began my career as an educator in an enclosed classroom with a mixed grade teaching style. I taught K-2 in one room. This was my favorite style of teaching because it allowed kids to jump onboard to what we were learning at whatever level they were most comfortable. There is no pleasure greater than opening the door to literacy to young children. Teaching a young learner to read is such a rewarding experience! My other passion is art, and I find it is a way to all kids hearts. I have used art as a way to help kids conquer their toughest road blocks! My most recent educator experience has been homeschooling my own two children from elementary school into high school. They are both honor students in 9th and 10th grade, grateful for their solid education through elementary and middle school. I would love to work with your child and help them tackle those subjects that are posing a challenge. Even if your child is not yet school age, I can get them on the path to literacy!
