About Allison

Hi! I'm Alli, an avid reader, history nerd, and mom! Through my degrees, I have studied literature, history, education, and French. My MA thesis explored a subset of novels by 19th century author Thomas Hardy, and my current work-in-progress, PhD dissertation, focuses on natural language in seven 19th century novels. I have experience teaching at the high school level, but most of my classroom experience has been at the college level. I have tutored children from upper elementary through college. I am dyslexic myself and grew up wanting to read but never quite being able to keep up with my peers. This has given me a heart for helping students with learning differences. I know all students can achieve, and I'm excited to help your student reach their full potential with reading, writing, and critical thinking.
