With a graduate degree and 20 years of public education experience, I believe every student has unique potential and can achieve their goals with personalized support. I am a certified teacher and aim to create an engaging, supportive, and patient learning environment, helping to prepare 21st-century learners through critical thinking skills and problem-solving. I vary my teaching strategies, encourage open communication, and regularly check in with parents to assess individual learning styles. I connect challenging topics to real-world examples, celebrate small successes, and break down complex problems. Open dialogue allows me to adapt my approach for optimal student outcomes. Seeing a student's confidence grow as they master new skills is the most rewarding aspect of being a tutor. I can help with English, Test Preparation, Foreign Language, Special Education, and Study Skills at the Elementary, Middle, and High School levels.
