I have worked with kids many times. Seeing that I have practically watched my cousin's kids grow up since birth (they are now 4 and 5), I have often watched over them and played with them during family gatherings. Also, my friend's mother owns a daycare. I often go to her house and help keep the kids occupied, such as reading them a story or just talking and playing with them. I love kids so much, which is the main reason I want to become a pediatrician. Besides these instances, I must say that I have never professionally babysat. However, I am a mature 18-year-old senior high school student, and very responsible. I just completed the 2 year International Baccalaureate Programme at KM high school and have maintained a 3.8 GPA throughout. I am willing to take any classes, such as first aid classes, in order to make you feel more comfortable with me babysitting for you child(ren). Lastly, I used to read to my half-sister and play with her. She is mentally and physically handicapped, which made it a little difficult. However, my maturity and willingness to want to help people made playing with her enjoyable and added to my experience of working with children in a different aspect.
