About Allegra

My name is Allegra. I' have recently moved to Los Angeles after having to withdraw from my Masters Degree Program in Costume Design and am subsequently looking for work as a babysitter/nanny. Throughout the past 10 years, in between going to school, I have loved working with children. My most recent job was at the world-famous FAO Schwarz in New York City, painting faces full time from September 2013 to June 2015 . A fully certified face painter, I was trained at a face painting school in England (who knew?!) and over the past 6 years I have worked at various festivals and events-- including the Atlanta Dogwood Festival and Yellow Daisy Festival at Stone Mountain. Not only have I experience with face painting but starting out way back in high school I became the favorite sitter for a group of moms with 2-year-olds (the golden age when they learn to say 'no!', nonetheless I enjoy their spunk, even if they are overly assertive). I've also looked after babies and older children on a regular basis. I'm really great with kids and I enjoy them. My background in arts allows me to be very fun and creative in play-- I am a voracious reader and have a good academic background, so I am easily able to help with homework.
