I have had experience in , in home caregiving , I've watched an elderly woman with aggressive dementia and Alzheimer's for about 3 years. I provided preparation of her meals, transportation, medication , dressing, taking her to run errands , and just monitored and spent time with her. Despite her illness , she was a sweetheart. I was not certified in anything, but I grew up with two parents who are RN's so, typically caregiving is in my blood. I also currently help care for my own grandfather who had just had spine surgery and many other surgeries after. I do majority of his daily tasks , and I prepare meals and medication for him as well. I have a habit of caring for elderly in my every day life. I tend to find myself helping elderly strangers because I know first hand that they are somewhat like children, they need help because they cannot help themselves due to circumstances, and it is always an honor to be able to help them when they are in need.
