About Alix

I was born and raised in Hawaii and moved out to California in 2014. I started working as nanny in the summer of 2015. I have a wide range of experience in child care. Over the past pandemic year I've cared full time for a 4-year-old boy. Prior to that I worked as a full time nanny for two children, a boy (ages 8-13), and a girl (ages 2-7) and have helped families, short and long term with date night babysitting, short notice/on call babysitting and transportation/pick ups. I participated in volunteer work at a Head Start Preschool in Hawaii, taught dance classes (ballet, musical theater and Tahitian) to ages 5-18, tutored ages 7-12 at The Friendly Center in Orange, CA and taught 5th grade nutrition classes for the Kokua Foundation. Currently, I'm providing babysitting in the Ventura/Ojai area. I offer homework help, meal preparation, driving, and some light tidying up. Alix was amazing! We were visiting from across the country and it was our first time with a non-family babysitter. She put us at ease right away and even did a video chat with us before we got there. She was on-time, was great with our son (15 months), and texted us updates throughout the evening and when she came back the next day. She was fantastic and a great fit for us.
