About Alissa

I have a profound awareness of what an enormous responsibility it is to care for another person's child and the importance of being trustworthy. My philosophy is to provide children with all of the loving care and the nurturing kindness they would have were their parents with them. I want parents to always know that their children are well cared for, safe, and happy. I believe in redirection, positive reinforcement, and giving children choices. I believe that it is important for children to become independent, resilient, creative, and well-rounded beings. I believe that music, reading, play, sensory exploration, and outside time all work together to create the best environment for the child. I know that a family's needs can evolve over time or change constantly at a moment's notice. I think it is so important to be flexible and adaptable.
