About Alissa

Nurturing young minds is truly a passion of mine, one that stems from years of positive babysitting experiences and a deep desire to positively impact children's lives. For six years, I have cared for children between the ages of 0-11, but I have specific experience with the 1-3 and 4-5 age groups. My coursework in Early Child Development has provided me with a strong foundation, and I am also trained in CPR. I'm creative, friendly, and love engaging children with outdoor sports, board games, and educational activities. I am comfortable preparing meals, doing light housekeeping, and supervising swimming activities. I always follow the parents' lead when it comes to household rules and communication preferences. I'm comfortable caring for one child at a time. I find immense joy in watching children learn and grow, and I hope to bring that same joy to your family. My passions have led me to pursue Elementary Education at the University of Iowa.
